The Friends of the Human Rights Commission, Inc., FHRC a Maryland 501 c (3) Non-profit Corporation, was founded in September, 2016, to provide a vehicle for private citizens, corporations and foundations to provide programming, financial and volunteer support to the Montgomery County Office of Human Rights Commission for Maryland, and is also dedicated to improving human relations and diversity building in Montgomery County. As a tax exempt organization, donors may deduct their contributions made through gifts, bequests, devises or monetary transfers in accordance with IRS rules and regulations.
Our team is made up of dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of those we serve. As a group of community members, private and public employees and business owners, we help to foster and support yearly programs, activities and events designed to support the MCHR’s mission and encourage and engage fundraising and volunteer assistance to sustain these activities.
We our continually excited, fortunate and thankful to partner with a variety of individuals, corporations and community based organizations committed to securing human and civil rights for Montgomery County residents. We are forever grateful for the sacrifices of their time, talent and monetary treasures that continue to help sustain the work of FHRC. It is, without doubt, the support of our partners that is making the positive transformations of both lives and perspectives possible during climates of challenges to basic civil and human rights.
